Terms of Use

Last updated October 20, 2026

Purple is a place to say hello, chat, post and feel each other’s aura. These terms are the deal between you and us. We kept them as short and plain as we could.

The short version

1. Who we are and what this covers

Purple is run by the Purple team (“Purple”, “we”, “us”). Purple is in early access and is not a registered company yet: our company details will be listed here before Purple opens to everyone. Until then, write to legal@thepurple.app.

These terms cover the Purple app in Telegram, opened through our bot @Purple_telegram_bot (the “app”), and our website thepurple.site. When you tick “I agree” or use the app, you accept these terms, the Community rules and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Purple.

2. Who can use Purple

We may ask you to confirm your age or identity at any time.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Telegram account. There is no separate password: whoever controls your Telegram account controls your Purple account, so keep Telegram safe.

When you join, you choose a nickname and an avatar. Please use a nickname and avatar that are yours to use: don’t pretend to be someone else, and don’t use anything rude or someone else’s photo.

Your account is personal. Don’t sell it, share it or let someone else use it.

4. Hellos, chats, the feed and hands

You start with a hello. The other person can accept it or say “not now”. If they accept, they also agree to the Community rules, and a chat opens between the two of you.

The feed. You can publish short posts that everyone in Purple can see.

Hands. Hands are how people say hello and show support in Purple. You can give a hand under a post or in a chat: it moves from you to that person.

5. Aura

From time to time the app asks how you feel next to the person you’re talking to. You answer with a simple plus or minus. These answers add up to each person’s aura.

Please answer honestly. Trying to push someone’s aura up or down on purpose, for example with extra accounts, breaks these terms.

6. Purple Token

What Purple Token is, and what it isn’t

Purple Token is an in-app token. You earn it for tasks from Purple and from our partners. A partner task counts once the partner confirms it to us. Your tokens show on your balance in the app.

Burning. Tokens spent inside Purple burn: they are removed for good. Burning counts from October 15, 2026. Each time tokens burn, every token left is worth more. The app shows the value of one token, day by day. It is not a market price, and it does not give anyone a claim to money.

Max supply. No more than 1,000,000,000 Purple Tokens can ever exist.

The exchange. We plan to open the token exchange on March 31, 2027. This is a plan, not a promise: the date and how it works may change. We will post any change in the app and on Purple Updates.

Coins became tokens. Purple Coins from the earlier Purple app became Purple Token automatically, 1 coin = 1 token. A withdrawal that was still waiting came back to the balance and became tokens too.

Payouts are paused until the token exchange opens. You can’t withdraw anything from Purple right now. We plan to open payouts together with the token exchange on March 31, 2027. This is a plan, not a promise: if the date changes, we will say so in the app and on Purple Updates.

7. Forms

Forms are an optional feature of the app. Right now there are three: Square, Triangle and Cube. Now and then a fourth one, the Black form, may show up.

8. Tasks and partners

Some tasks come from our partners, for example ads from AdsGram and connecting a profile on Chaters. A task gives tokens only after it is done and confirmed. Each task shows what to do and how many tokens it gives.

9. What’s not allowed

If you break these terms, we may warn you, remove content, take back tokens, limit features, or suspend or close your account. If you think we got it wrong, write to support.

10. Ending things

You can stop using Purple at any time. To delete your account, write to support@thepurple.app or to @Purple_helpcenter_bot from the Telegram account you use in Purple. For 30 days after that you can ask us to bring your account back, with its chats and its token balance. After 30 days it cannot be restored and the token balance is gone. What we keep and for how long is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to by law.

11. Our content

Purple’s app, site, code, design, symbols, texts, name and logo belong to the Purple team or the people who licensed them to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use the app for its purpose while you follow these terms. Please don’t copy, sell or reuse Purple’s content without our written permission.

What you write in chats and posts stays yours. You give us permission to store it, deliver your messages to the person you’re talking to, and show your posts to people in Purple, including when someone quotes them. When you delete a post, we stop showing it.

12. Telegram and other services

Purple runs inside Telegram. Telegram is a separate company with its own terms. We don’t control Telegram and aren’t responsible for how it works.

13. Changes and availability

Purple keeps changing. We may add, change, pause or remove features, tasks and the token page. We work hard to keep Purple running, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

14. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unexpected losses, lost profits, lost data, or for what other people, partners or Telegram do. Our total liability for any claim about Purple is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. If you paid nothing, it is limited to the minimum the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit, or your rights as a consumer that can’t be waived.

15. Law and disputes

If something goes wrong, please write to us first at legal@thepurple.app, and we will try to sort it out. The law and the courts that apply to these terms will be named here together with our company details. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law of your country gives you. Disputes are handled one person at a time, not as a class or group action, as far as the law allows.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using Purple after a change, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Purple and ask us to delete your account.
